California based rock band brings the heat to the Midwest.
As fans made their way downstairs to the basement of St. Andrews Hall located in Detroit, Mi also known as “The Shelter” the room rapidly began to fill. With a venue capacity of under 400 people, The Shelter is an intimate location for any musician to play.
The crowds intensity changed when high energy rock band; Dead Girls Academy took the stage. Dead Girls Academy is currently signed to Victory Records and caught the labels attention rapidly by supporting bands with similar styles such as; Falling In Reverse and Issues. Dead Girls Academy’s sound definitely has resemblance to their influences while still maintaining their own individuality in the rock genre.
Additionally, Dead Girls Academy coupled their exquisite sound with high throttle energy that captivated the crowd. Utilizing the venues small stage, the band made it a priority to keep their listeners engaged. Coming all the way from sunny California, Dead Girls Academy definitely had a strong Michigan fanbase.
Their presence in the room didn’t end at the last song of their set; the band made their way over to their merch table to meet with concert goers. On top of that, the band ensured that they stayed around to support the following bands on tour with them. Overall, exemplifying great musicianship on and off stage.
